ArcoLinux

To learn about Arcolinux you should start with the Arcolinux info site Arcolinux installs with a very simple installer. it has multiple projects and has over 22 different desktops to choose from. The project will also teach you to create your own ISO. Erik Dubois has a youtube channel with over 2000 videos walking you through just about every issue you can come up with. I really cant say enough good things about this Distro.

My choise when it comes to Arcolinux is the ArcoLinuxB project. Basically ArcoLinuxB has a different ISO for each desktop. You pick which desktop you want, download the ISO, burn it to a USB thumbdrive and install. Litterally that easy. My choise for Desktop is DWM. DWM is a tile window manager instead of a Desktop Environment. I will go over the difference later.

If you are new to Linux or do not have a lot of experience with Linux, my suggestion would be to download ArcoLinux, the ArcoLinux project includes 3 desktops. Xfce, Openbox and i3 Xfce is a Desktop Environment and will work similar to Windows. Openbox and i3 are both tile window managers. So you can boot into Xfce and work with and learn Linux and as you do then start playing around with Openbox and or i3. so you get the best of both worlds.
